We have limited baby supplies that we are giving away!  Bottles, Diapers of all sizes, wipes, clothes (limited sizes), blankets, toys, books, and many other baby care items!  Must make an appointment with Jeanna through email  [email protected].
WHAT WE DO

Faith Based Professional Family Services in Northeast Tennessee
​​Initially founded in February of 2000 as Family Consultants, Appalachian Family Outreach has served hundreds of East Tennessee households with counseling, adoption, foster care, maternity services, and other forms of assistance since its inception.

​AFO is a faith-based ministry that extends across denominational lines to provide care, treatment, and training for the relief of children, adults, and families who are distressed, conflicted, or otherwise in need of care.
Appalachian Family Outreach, Inc., is identified as a 501 c 3 non-profit organization by the Internal Revenue Service and in this regard, donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Appalachian Family Outreach is registered as a not-for-profit corporation in the State of Tennessee and is registered as a charity with the office of the Tennessee Secretary of State.

​The child-placing programs of AFO are licensed by the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services.

We would love to help on your journey

We are passionate about adoption and adoption related issues.  We  believe that each situation is unique, therefore the needs are different for each case.  If we feel we are unable to provide you with quality services to meet your particular needs, we will refer you to someone who can better meet your needs.  We want to work together with hopeful adoptive parents, attorneys, parents considering adoption, and other agencies in order to make the process of adoption as positive as possible.  

While our main service is providing home studies, If you just need a listening ear during an adoption or if you are pregnant and unsure of where to turn, we would love to talk to you. If we can't directly provide the right service for you, we will get you referred to someone who can.
